Located in downtown Ann Arbor, many of Dr. VanBeck’s patients are university students who are navigating the stress of a competitive academic environment, new friendships and romantic relationships, newly found independence, identity exploration, social media, and, as of late, frequent demonstrations by students and outside influencers sometimes involving hate speech and harassment.
Dr. VanBeck offers a safe and supportive environment where students can explore their thoughts, emotions, and concerns without judgment. Having years of experience counseling individuals with eating disorders such as Anorexia, Bulimia, binge eating, Pica, Rumination, and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), as well as alcohol and drug addiction.
Many of Dr. VanBeck’s patients benefit from anxiety and depression support in a compassionate environment based on evidence-based interventions to manage symptoms and improve well-being.
