Fees & Insurance
The Cost of Therapy
I work as a private pay/out-of-network provider, which allows for a more straightforward and private experience without the added complexity of working directly through insurance. The fee for a 50-minute session is $275.
Insurance & Reimbursement
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. However, many clients receive reimbursement from their insurance plans. Depending on your benefits, reimbursement is often between 50–80% of the session fee.
I provide a superbill after each session that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Payment can also be made using HSA or FSA funds. If you’re unsure how your benefits work, I’m happy to help guide you through it.
Not Sure What Your Coverage Looks Like?
You can call your insurance provider and ask a few quick questions to better understand your benefits:
Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health?
What is my deductible, and has any of it been met?
What percentage of each session is reimbursed after my deductible?
What is the rate covered by my insurance for a doctoral level Licensed Clinical Psychologist? (Masters-level therapists get lower reimbursements from insurance companies, so you want to ensure that you’re reimbursed at a higher rate).
What is the rate covered by my insurance for these CPT codes? 90791 (new patient evaluation), 90834 (38-45 minute psychotherapy), 90837 (53-60 minute psychotherapy)?
Do I have coverage for virtual (telehealth) sessions?
If it’s helpful, I can walk through this with you during our initial call.
A Note on Fit
Finding the right therapist is important. If you’re considering working together but have questions about cost, insurance, or the process, we can talk through everything during a brief consultation.
