I HELP EMERGING ADULTS STRUGGLING WITH….
-
Eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating are complex mental health conditions that often involve an unhealthy focus on food, weight, and body image. Therapy can help address the underlying emotional and psychological factors driving these behaviors, fostering a healthier relationship with food and self.
-
Depression is a mood disorder characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and loss of interest in daily activities. Through therapy, we work to uncover the root causes of depression, develop coping mechanisms, and rebuild emotional resilience.
-
Anxiety disorders can cause overwhelming worry, fear, or panic that interferes with daily life. Therapy offers a safe space to understand the triggers of anxiety and develop tools for managing stress and calming the mind.
-
Relationships can be both rewarding and challenging. Therapy provides a supportive environment for exploring relationship difficulties, improving communication, and developing strategies for healthier, more fulfilling connections.
-
Low self-esteem and chronic stress can significantly affect mental and physical health. Therapy offers tools to improve self-worth, manage stress more effectively, and cultivate greater confidence and balance in life.
-
Trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can leave lasting emotional scars. Therapy focuses on helping individuals process their trauma, regain a sense of safety, and rebuild their lives with renewed strength and resilience.

Emerging adults, defined as those aged 18-29, are characterized by significant psychological transitions as they navigate the complexities of identity formation, career decisions, and personal growth. In modern, developed societies, emerging adulthood represents a distinct developmental stage where young people experience both newfound independence and lingering uncertainties about their future. Our services cater to their unique mental health and emotional needs during this pivotal phase of life.

About —————
Growing up in a sheltered environment, I was often critical of myself, particularly my body image. Like many adolescents, I struggled with the pressures of appearance, identity, and fitting in. When I left for college, the freedom I longed for brought new challenges. I experimented, as many do, but quickly found myself engaging in toxic behaviors that only deepened my struggles. During this time, I realized how difficult it is for young adults to navigate the complexities of early adulthood, especially when you're far from home and trying to figure out who you are.
This personal journey sparked my interest in psychology. I wanted to understand the emotional and psychological challenges of growing up and, more importantly, help others make healthier, more informed decisions as they navigate this pivotal time in life. I pursued my education at the University of Rochester, earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and later completed my Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Widener University. While there, I had the opportunity to work at the Caron Foundation, a renowned substance abuse program, and later at the Renfrew Center, a leading facility for treating eating disorders.
These experiences shaped my career and gave me the tools to help adolescents and young adults who, like me, are trying to find their way. I’ve worked with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, from anxiety and depression to self-esteem and body image issues. My passion is helping others uncover the roots of their difficulties and develop the coping skills they need to thrive in life’s pressures.
Today, I offer a compassionate and non-judgmental space where my clients can explore their emotions and begin the journey toward a healthier, more fulfilling future

How It Works
Text Or Email Our Office To Schedule A Consultation
Please text or email me to set up an initial phone call to talk about what brings you to therapy, share the challenges you're experiencing, ask any questions, discuss policies/costs, and find out if we're a good fit for working together.
Schedule your first session.
If we both feel comfortable moving forward, we'll schedule a session. Before we meet, you'll complete some forms on confidentiality, HIPAA, consent for treatment, and basic information/history.
Establish a therapeutic relationship.
In the first session, we'll get to know one another and set your goals for therapy. In our initial appointment, it’s essential to notice if treatment feels like a space where you can see yourself trusting and opening up to me over time.
Meet on a weekly/bi-weekly basis.
For most clients, we’ll meet once a week. Once we meet some of your goals, we may decide to meet bi-weekly or less often, usually after six months.
